If you are frustrated by the pretty patterns and clever hype, I feel the same way. If you are looking for one good suit that will work very well in all settings, read on. If you need warm, functional, water resistant, comfortable camo, keep reading. Predator products are designed by hunters with you, the hunter in mind. At Whitetail.com, we have chosen to offer the Fall Gray pattern. This pattern features the greatest contrast between light and dark areas giving you the maximum silhouette breakup. The branches enhance "binocular rivalry." The "wild look" clearly differentiates you from hunters who outfit at discount stores. There are three issues in quality camouflage: Concealment, Comfort and Durability. If any one of these is missing, it isn't quality hunting gear. We believe that Fall Gray is the finest concealment for the widest variety of hunting situations. That isn't enough, if you can't stay in the woods because you are freezing... or crunchy noises happen when you draw your bow, the concealment is defeated. Further, this stuff is expensive, I've spent more on camo than on bows or arrows... and I believe it has been worth it. But I don't want my "investment" to fall apart. You can't just make decisions on concealment, you have a right to know what is on the inside of your garment. You won't find that out on a 3"x5" card off the rack or 80 words of catalog copy. You owe it to yourself to dig deeper, hunts are too special, too expensive in both time and money not to be well outfitted. With just five minutes 'till quitting time, I had five does RUN in. Already standing with my release on the string, I screeched a fawn distress call. Two does stopped at 20 yards. But now they were looking right at me, eye-to-eye. In this camo, I was confident they couldn't tell what I was, so I slowly drew my bow. Neither doe showed any sign of alarm. Neither moved even a step. At full draw, I anchored my pin squarely behind the front doe's left leg. As I held this deadly position, I noticed that she was pretty small, and it was a still early in the season. "Bang, Bang, you're dead," I thought to myself. The point is, I can violate all the rules, look deer in the eye, with my Fall Gray Predator camo! Less than a week later (11/1/97), at 4:15pm a nice full bodied 4 point
buck came walking in from the south. This time I was less than ready. I
slowly got on my feet and tried to lift
